Are You Offering the Gift of Avon?

The Gift of Avon

Over the years I have met a lot of direct sales representatives, in fact many of my friends have home-based or small businesses.  One recurring theme that I see when these representatives are working their business is that a lot of them tend to under value their business.  Here are some of the things I hear that trouble me:

Can you place an order/book a party for me?
It would really help me out if you could...
Can you do me a favor and...

The problem with all of these is that they not only make it all about what the person can do for the representative and not the representative can do for the customer, they also ignore one huge fact about our businesses.  What we have to offer is a GIFT.  We should not have to beg people to do business with us. We have a lot to offer to any potential customer or representative.  So if you have ever even thought one of the questions/statements above I challenge you to change the way you are looking at your business and begin to offer your gifts and watch your business bloom.  These gifts include:

The gift of a great product ~ we have some of the best products on the market

The gift of value ~ Our regular prices are better than many comparable products, AND we have 100s of products on sale every campaign.

The gift of convenience ~ we save our clients time and hassle of going to the store by getting their items delivered right to their door.

The gift of personal service ~ when you go to the store how often do you find a sales person or clerk who really takes the time to get to know you?  One who really cares about helping you find the right product for your need?

The gift of worry free buying ~ with our satisfaction guarantee customers have 90 days to return a product they are not happy with.

The gift of opportunity ~ What does your Avon business mean to you?  Is it flexibility to work around your family schedule or other obligations? Is it access to your favorite products at a discount? Is it being able to meet other women and have fun while you're working?
What other "job" allows you to share that gift?  When you help someone else start their own business you are giving them the gift of an increased income, flexibility, independence and friendships.
