Failing your way to Success

Which do you think it right?

Failure ----- You ----- Success  or You -----> Failure -----> Success

Many of us may think that Failure and Success are 2 sides of the same coin and you can only get one or the other as a result.
But Failure is really a step (or several steps) on the path to Success.  I'd like to share a few of my favorite quotes on the subject of failure.

"Double your rate of failure...You're thinking of failure as the enemy of success.  But it isn't at all...you can be discouraged by failure - or you can learn from it.  So go ahead adn make mistakes. Make all you can.  Because remember, that's where you'll find success; on the other side of failure" ~~Thomas J Watson Sr (chairman and CEO of International Business Machines (IBM))

"You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try" ~ Beverly Sills (American Opera Singer)

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career.  I've lost almost 300 games.  26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.  I've failed over an over and over again in my life.  And that is why I succeed" ~ Michael Jordan

What have you been afraid to try because you might fail?
Whether you are putting off working toward your goals, or haven't even set them yet, if you are letting fear stop you from taking action you are creating a self fulfilling prophecy.  It's true that if you take action you may fail but if you don't take action you cannot succeed. I would rather risk failure than give up the opportunity to succeed.

What risk will you take this month?
